Oatmeal Cleanser

1 cup warm water
1/2 cup oatmeal
1 tablespoon honey
1-2 drops tincture of benzoin (optional)

Place all of the ingredients in a blender or food processor. Blend on high speed until smooth and creamy. Place in a tight container.

To use: Rinse skin well with tepid water.
Place small amount in the palm of your hand.
And gently massage into your skin.

Fragrance Families

Scents come in 6 main families, they are:


Floral
Floral's are the most popular and versatile of all the scents.
There is such a huge variety, such as; rose, violet, jasmine and floral fragrances and can contain either a variety of floral notes or a single strong note. Floral's can have lots of personalities from fresh to spicy scented mixes and they’re easy to wear.

Chypre

Pronounced Sheep-ra chypre is French for Cyprus, which is where many of the classic chypre perfume ingredients can be found. A chypre base is usually woody or mossy with fresh citrus, such as bergamot and sometimes floral overtones.

Citrus

Invigoration citrus scents are bursting with the freshness of lemon, orange, bergamot, lime and grapefruit. There so tangy they give your nose and you a real wake up call.

Fougere

Pronounce foo-jhair, fougere is French for fern. Often unisex these scents are a mixture of lavender with a green mossy of herby base and sometimes oriental, spicy and citrus notes. They are complex, sophisticated and subtle.

Oriental

Rich, spicy and dramatic oriental fragrances contain exotic spices like sandalwood and vanilla, with rich musk and amber undertones. It’s not surprising that musk is thought of as a sexy smell; it’s an animal sex signal that humans can detect too. Orientals tend to be quite noticeable fragrance and the yare often long lasting.

Ozonic

Developed in the 1990’s these scents will whisk you outdoors with just one sprits. They’re a breath of fresh air, evoking scents of the ocean and a day on the beach.


Pineapple Crush (for acne)




Pineapple has antiseptic properties and help calm acne-inflamed skin. Crush one slice of fresh pineapple and smooth it over the face (avoid eye area), leave for three minutes and rinse off with tepid water.

Strawberry Smoother




Strawberries are one of natures best fine line and wrinkle softeners. Mash two strawberries together and gently press around the eye and mouth. Allow to dry for 1-3 minutes, before rinsing off.

Olive Oil Cleanser

Mix two tablespoons of olive oil with one teaspoon of soft honey and smooth it over the skin with your finger tips. Rise to reveal a deeply clean finish.

Skin Freshener

To refreshen the skin, mix a tablespoon of any type of citrus juice with yoghurt or sour cream and apply it sparingly. Leave it for 1-3 minutes before rinsing it off with tepid water.

Chapped Lip and Acne Treatment

Honey works well on chapped lips and for acne because of it's antibacterial properties.
Apply a small amount of 100% pure honey directly to the lips or acne blemishes as needed.

Tips: Honey


Honey Exfoliating Mask


Use pure 100% raw honey instead of alpha hydroxy masks. Because of it’s high acid content, the Honey exfoliates dead cells, while also being gentle on sensitive skin.





Honey Firming Facial Mask


Whisk together one tablespoon honey, one egg white, one teaspoon glycerin, and 1/4 cup flour. Smooth over the face and leave for 15 minutes. Rinse well with warm water.




Milk and Honey Moisturising Treatment


Mix 2 tablespoons honey with 2 teaspoons of whole milk. Smooth over the face and throat, and leave for 15 minutes. Rinse off with warm water,and finish with a splash of cold water.




Honey "Dry Patch" Lotion


Mix 1 teaspoon honey with 1 teaspoon Olive oil and 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice. Apply to hands, elbows, heels, or any other problematic dry patches of skin. After 15 minutes, rinse well with warm water.




Gentle Honey Cleanser



Mix together 1/4 cup of honey, 1 tablespoon liquid soap and 1/2 a cup glycerin in a small bowl until they are fully blended. Pour into a clean plastic bottle. Pour onto clean face sponge or soft cloth and gently rub onto face, wash aways with warm water and pat face dry.

Empress Josehines Cleanser


1/4 cup aleo vera gel

2 tablespoons fresh whole milk


Mix together the 2 ingrediants.

Store in the refrigerator.


To use: Pour a small amount in your hand and massage into your skin. Rinse well with tepid water and pat dry.

Honey Almond Facial Scrub


Mix 1 tablespoon of honey with 2
table spoonsof finely ground
almonds and 1/2 teaspoon
lemon juice. Rub gently onto face.
Rinse off with warm water.




Olive Oil Salt Body Scrub

1 table spoon of coarse grain salt

1/2 cup of olive oil



Mix together and rub over your body in small circular motions. This will exfoliate rough, dry skin and promote healthy circulation.

Sweet Lemon Brightner



Mix 1 table spoon of fresh lemon juice with 1\2 teaspoon of sugar.

1. Pat over clean skin using cotton wool, and leave for 1-3 minutes.
2. Rinse with tepid water to reveal a fresher, brighter complexion.
